  • Improving lives

    Fortescue contributed more than $86 million through its voluntary social investment programs in FY24, supporting local communities with initiatives in education, healthcare, and economic development.

  • Protecting nature

    Fortescue invested over $6 million in biodiversity research and conservation programs in FY24, implementing comprehensive environmental management systems.

  • Partnering with First Nations communities

    The Billion Opportunities program has awarded over $5.3 billion in contracts to nearly 200 First Nations businesses since 2011, fostering economic empowerment and capacity building within First Nations communities.

  • Protecting cultural heritage

    We’re committed to ensuring no impact to First Nations heritage without consultation and consent, with zero significant heritage incidents reported in FY24, reflecting robust engagement and respect for cultural sites.

  • Building a diverse and inclusive team

    Women now make up 24% of Fortescue's workforce and hold 37% of senior leadership roles, while First Nations Australians represent 11% of the Australian workforce, demonstrating significant strides in promoting diversity and inclusion.

  • Product stewardship

    As we build our Energy business and decarbonise our Metals business, we also build our green energy value chains. Starting from scratch, this enables us to take advantage of the opportunity to apply global best practices and leading concepts for product stewardship on the road to Real Zero.

  • Acting with integrity

    We ensure ethical conduct through comprehensive training and compliance programs.
